California Data Center Design Group managed the design of a new data center for the Sacramento County Office of Education. This new data center is located at Mather Field Business Park.
State of California Health and Human Services Data Center
California Data Center Design Group (CDCDG) recently prepared a facilities master plan for a new 200,000 square foot data center for the State of California’s Health and Human Services. This facilities master plan required the engineering evaluation of 2 buildings totaling over 250,000 square feet of office and raised floor space, an estimate of retrofits needed to keep the facility viable for a 20 year period of time and cost estimates to complete the retrofits required. CDCDG identified over $20,000,000 in upgrades required to keep this facility functional over the next 20 years.
Sutter Health Data Center
California Data Center Design Group performed a data center audit of Sutter Health¹s new data center to ensure that all required processes and procedures were in place prior to bringing in critical customers. This audit reviewed practices and procedures for the operation, maintenance and testing of the data center facility, compared them to industry best practices for a mission critical data center and noted where there are shortfalls. We also prepared a list of modifications that we believe should be made to the existing facility to enhance the reliability and functionality.
BJK Data Centers
California Data Center Design Group acted as the project manager for an engineering review and evaluation of 26 Colo.com data centers nationwide, that were recently purchased by BJK Inc. Critical areas of review included, quality of design, quality of construction, reliability, maintainability and recommendations for modifications required to upgrade the facilities to current 99.999% levels of reliability. For BKJ alone, over 500,000 square feet of data centers were reviewed by California Data Center Design Group and their teams.
State of California Health and Human Services Data Center
California Data Center Design Group was the project manager for a $12,000,000 electrical systems remodeling effort for this 20 year old, 200,000 sq. ft. data center that provides mission critical services to many State of California agencies. This project involved all new switchgear, 6-750 kVA UPS modules, 6 generators and a new control and monitoring system. This project was completed in less than four (4) months, on schedule and under budget.
Telegis Networks
California Data Center Design Group was contracted to direct the global data center design effort for eight (8) - 100,000 sq. ft. data centers in the US,
Europe and Asia. These Internet data centers were designed to exceed 99.999% reliability. The total projected cost for all 8 data centers was in excess of $400,000,000.
Silicon Graphics
California Data Center Design Group was the project manager for the design of SGI¹s new corporate data center in Mountain View California. This 40,000
square foot, $20,000,000 facility houses all of SGI's critical corporate data processing systems.
AT&T
California Data Center Design Group acted as the project manager for the construction of a 17,000 square foot addition to the AT&T cable landing plant for undersea fiber optic cables in Manchester California. This extremely critical switching facility with downtime costs of $1,000,000 per minute was constructed in a 6 month timeframe without an interruption in service.
Teale Data Center
California Data Center Design Group¹s Ron Hughes, was the project manager responsible for the design and construction of the State of California¹s primary eneral-purpose data center. This 150,000-sq. ft. facility with 43,000 square feet of raised floor, in Sacramento, Ca. houses some of the most critical systems in state government. Total project cost exceeded $47,000,000.
Wells Fargo Cassie Hills Data Center
California Data Center Design Group acted as the project manager for a $850,000 remodel of the data center that included the addition of two new 250 ton chillers and the reconfiguration of the chiller plant and the chilled water loop. This extremely critical data center houses systems, which support all of the Wells Fargo Bank branches in Northern California and the Internet banking system. This project was completed without interruption to the data center.
